Watchlist of Historic Properties

NAME Number Street Comments History or Photo Reference
Abrams-Peasley House 321 W Highland Dr House designed by Bain and Pries in 1930, sold in February 2008. Largely intact, but possibly threatened because of BIG view. Recent book by Jeff Ochsner highlights importance of Lionel Pries' work. http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/historicalsite/QueryResult.aspx?ID=-1037302110
Chappel Residence 23 Highland Dr If the Japanese consulate ever decided to sell this one, I think it would be very much at risk, because the property:
1)takes the full block betweeen Highland and Prospect making it ripe for redeveloping,
2) is next door to MR zoning, and
3)half the lot is zoned L-3(multi- family).
