21 BOSTON STREET

The following messages comes from Mark Spitzer a friend of the Queen Anne Historical Society and a retired architect. Mark chronicles an important moment in Queen Anne’s history which we are delighted to share. Updating is happening regularly.

See below for the December 28, 2022 update.

Hello Friends and Neighbors,

You’re all generally aware of the construction of the new mixed use residential project with a new Safeway store taking place at Queen Anne Avenue and Crockett streets. I have been following the progress of the project; and I thought you might be interested in coming along with me as the building develops. To make that process comprehensible, I thought I would give you an overview of the design so that as you see the various elements show up on site, you’ll know what they are.

The project is called 21 Boston and is being developed by an entity called CG 21Boston with developer Barrientos RYAN, a firm that has done multiple housing and mixed use projects in town.

I plan to add later installments every few weeks to show the steps necessary to building a project like this and to take a bit of the mystery out of the construction process.
